Blog 42: Staying at the Welcomhotel Jodhpur

Nestled just a few miles off Jodhpur's vibrant city centre, the Welcomhotel Jodhpur, Rajasthan is the perfect paradise for anyone looking for a holiday surrounded by tradition, rich culture and heritage. Having spent a few nights at this beautiful hotel, let me give you a takedown of my experience, only to manifest your urge to make a booking here soon!

The hotel is a 20 minute drive from the Jodhpur airport and you can easily book a cab at the airport or request the hotel for a pick-up. Upon arrival at the property, we were greeted by very hospitable staff, a welcome drink and a cold towel. Feeling instantly refreshed, we were shown the way to our deluxe room overlooking the pool and grand lawns. The luxurious bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower complete with spa-grade amenities. Our personal butler made us feel very comfortable and took care of all our needs.

For an ideal staycation, book the hotel's 2-bedroom villa with a private pool for an ultimate getaway. Endorsing 'Responsible Luxury', this ITC hotel is known to provide guests with unforgettable memories. There's more to this place than just unwinding by the pool or getting spa treatments- enjoy cultural music and dance in the evenings and shop local clothes and handicrafts in the morning at the hotel. There is even an open-air cinema airing classic films!

Not to forget the delicious local food! The WelcomCafe Chinkara specialises in the 'Welcomsthalika' - a big plate with small portions of various traditionally cooked regional delicacies. Definitely a must if you want to taste all the flavours of Rajasthan. For special occasions, the hotel team can set up a private dinner for you at The Courtyard, for you to celebrate in style.

In the midst of a pandemic, we felt safe knowing the rooms and all high-touch points in the hotel were frequently sanitized. Seeing 'WeAssure' stickers and banners meant that the staff is doing everything possible to keep guests and themselves shielded from coronavirus. (Read my review of 'WeAssure' here)
