With a quarter of the year over, it looks like it's time to start booking hotels and taking time off from our hectic schedules. And of course, this is also where the confusion starts, where to go, where to stay, how many days/nights to spend?
Hotel it Out! has been created to clear this very confusion - let us tell you about some of the hottest hotels opening in 2022. Once you know which hotel you're staying at, everything else will fall into place. Let's get started!
ASIA

1 - Regent Phu Quoc, Vietnam - Situated alongside the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, guests can expect to see luxurious yet minimalistic interior designs that complement the silk sand and sky-blue sea just outside of their floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The huge property consisting of 176 suites and 126 villas has a lot to offer from various gastronomic experiences to spa and meditation retreats.

2 - Bulgari Hotel Tokyo, Japan - The first Bvlgari hotel in Japan will be occupying the top seven floors of an ultra-skyscraper. It will be located in the central area of Chuo-ku, with some of the best attractions in town. Like all other Bulgari properties, the hotel will be designed by the Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, thus conveying the values of contemporary Italian design and craftsmanship. The luxury hotel will offer 98 guest rooms in a variety of configurations, mainly twin and double rooms, luxury suites, and an extraordinary Bulgari Suite.

3 - Alila Kothaifaru, Maldives - 'Serenity and adventure' is the premise behind this stunning new five-star getaway in Raa Atoll, located 45 minutes from Malé by seaplane. Surrounded by a beautiful house reef, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is designed with eighty villas; roughly half of them hidden among the tropical greenery for top privacy and with direct beach access, and half over water on stilts, allowing to descend to the sea and enjoy the turquoise waves right from the extensive private decking.

EUROPE

1 - Six Senses Loire Valley, Saint-Lauren-Nouan, France - Just a 90-minute drive from Paris, Six Senses will open its new resort in the village of Saint-Laurent-Nouan in Loire Valley, set within the 1,400-acre Les Bordes Estates, home to Les Bordes Golf Club, one of the world's most prestigious golf clubs. Along with tranquil gardens and excellent wine, the resort will offer visitors a chance to explore an organic farm, equestrian and tennis centers, an art gallery, a spa with an on-site medicinal garden, and a natural swimming lake. The iconic Château de Chambord is also mere minutes away from the property.

2 - ONE&ONLY Aesthesis Athens, Greece - Located in a twenty-one-hectare estate on a 1600-meter stretch of a beachfront in Southern Athens, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, where lavender lands meet sapphire waters. One&Only Aesthesis is designed to offer sleek luxury in a resort situated in a refurbished property initially constructed in the mid-1950s. The accommodation pays homage to mid-century design and creates a soothing atmosphere. Inspired by ancient mythology, the collection of rooms, suites, and villas embody the glamour of the Aegean vacations.

3 - 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh, Scotland - 100 Princes Street is the exclusive address of the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL), and the hotel here embraces the heritage of this former private club. Inspired by the rich history of Scottish adventurers and explorers, the refurbished building has retained some of its unique features, including a central staircase featuring a hand-painted mural. This is Red Carnation Hotels’ debut in Scotland, and the group brings service defined by the “anything, anytime” approach, providing a 2:1 staff to guest ratio. 100 Princes Street has thirty luxurious rooms and suites with beautiful views of Edinburgh Castle.

MIDDLE EAST

1 - Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia - Inspired by the ancient incense trade routes, Six Senses Southern Dunes aims to take its guests on a journey into discovering little-known culture and rarely-experienced nature in Saudi Arabia. The resort features seventy-six accommodations, from open-plan guest rooms with outdoor terraces to villas offering various bedroom options (up to four), all positioned for the best views over the desert landscape. At the heart of the resort is, The Oasis, a hub of activity, housing a boutique, meeting spaces, and dining venues under one roof. A Six Senses resort wouldn’t be complete without the spa, and the Southern Dunes does not disappoint. The shaded spa has beautiful water features and offers a whole spectrum of treatments and facilities.

2 - The Lana, Dubai, UAE - The Lana is a 225-key hotel occupying 30 levels of a purpose-built tower designed by Foster+Partners. The interiors, by Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier, draw inspiration from the cosmopolitan and uber-contemporary city that is Dubai. The light-flooded rooms include sixty-nine suites, but all accommodation is designed to maximize the views Dubai affords, from Burj Khalifa to the hazy sunsets through floor-to-ceiling windows. The rooms feature deep-soaking bathtubs, many positioned by the windows. The hotel boasts of a lounge on the 18th floor, with an experiential concept 'unlike anything else in Dubai'. The spa and wellness center is on the 29th floor, and the thirtieth is taken up by the rooftop pool, which transforms into a lounge come nightfall.

AUSTRALASIA

1 - W Sydney, Australia - Housed in The Ribbon, a spectacular $700M development in Sydney’s Darling Harbour (designed by international awarding-winning architects HASSELL), the W hotel adds a touch of youthful glamour to the architectural marvel of the building. W Sydney comes with 593 guestrooms, an infinity pool overlooking the harbor, an upgraded IMAX theatre, a casino, Sea Life Aquarium, and a whole lot of services.

2 - Queen's Wharf, Brisbane, Australia - The A$3 billion Queen’s Wharf development will add five hotels and more than 1,000 rooms to the city’s inventory, bringing well-known luxury brands to Brisbane, including the Ritz-Carlton and Rosewood and Dorsett Hotels. Queen’s Wharf will also feature a 1,000-seat ballroom and over 50 new restaurants and bars.

AMERICAS

1 - 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay Resort, Hawaii, USA - The luxury lifestyle hotel brand 1 Hotels is inspired by nature and the philosophy of caring about the world. The 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay Resort, located on Kauai, “the garden island,” follows this inspiration with sustainable design and a vision of a wellness destination. Set amid a tropical ocean and surrounded by moss-covered cliffs and lush greenery of the island, this is a wellness retreat designed to be in harmony with the natural world. The guest experience starts before the arrival, with planning for personalized wellness packages. Daily physical and nutritional itineraries are prepared during the stay, while the spa offers restorative therapies, from Ayurvedic treatments to “infrared sauna” sessions. 2 - The Fifth Avenue Hotel, New York, USA - The Fifth Avenue Hotel is a unique property featuring two buildings, the Gilded Age structure dating back to the second half of the 19th century and the adjacent new purpose-built 24-story glass tower. The hotel combines both structures into a luxury hotel, with 153 rooms split between The Tower and The Mansion. None of the rooms look the same; they feature distinctive art and design, underscoring a new hotel concept designed around tailoring guest experience and fostering curiosity. The Fifth Avenue Hotel features a restaurant, bar, and terrace. The address places the hotel within walking distance of Madison Square Park and the Flatiron.
